Y después de mucho tiempo sin actualizar, aquí estamos de nuevo!
Y como no voy a entrar en detalles del por qué del casi abandono del blog, mejor voy a lo importante:
The Gun Club, tremenda banda estadounidense, oriunda de Los Angeles, California, y liderada hasta el final de sus días por Jeffrey Lee Pierce (1958 - 1996). Fire Of Love es el álbum debut de estos cabros, y realmente es una Obra Maestra. Blues Punk irresistible y pegajoso, emparentado absolutamente con la música de sus paisanos The Cramps, ideal para mover le cuerpo.
Este disco aparecido en 1981 es definitivamente un clásico perdido, una joyita invaluable que debe ser reivindicada como se merece.
Después de esta maravilla, The Gun Club editó los estupendos Miami (1982), The Las Vegas Story (1984), Mother Juno (1987), Pastoral Hide And Seek (1990), Divinity (1991), y su último trabajo, Lucky Jim (1993).
